Frisbeeeeeee

On January 23rd, 1957, the Wham-O toy company rolled out the first batch of their aerodynamic plastic discs known around the world as the Frisbee!

William Frisbee opened the Frisbie Pie Company in 1871 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. College kids would throw their empty pie tins at each other yelling, Frisbeeeee as they let go.
The definition of levity is lightness or buoyancy.
Like the Frisbee that coasts lightly through the air and connects the hand of one to the hand of another, find the levity in the connection with yourself and those around you as you come to mat and practice yoga.
Enjoy the silliness of some of the poses, the glide of your limbs as they create shape and holding of a posture that is rooted in the camaraderie of connection.
It is, after all, just yoga. And yoga is designed to move the body to a place of stillness.
Frisbees are meant to soar until they are reached.
Yup, I can even find yoga in the frisbee.
You can find yoga in everything and it takes looking at our history, our actions and interactions to find the bliss and balance in it all.
Have fun and breathe deeply,
Lady
